The pool

Our pool has a leak. What a pain. At the end of last summer I noticed that the water in the pool seemed a little low, so I filled it up. When they came to close it for the winter it was low again. So asked them about it and they told me that they were sure that it wasn't a leak just probably evaporation and splashing. I figured that they knew what they were talking about, so I filled up again, this time I marked it in the filter to see if it went down any. Well yeah, it went down a lot probably 6-8 inches in about a week. After that it stopped and didn't go down anymore.
We called the pool people to let them know, but no one would return our calls I guess it was winter so they weren't to worried about it. Finally Pete was able to talk to someone around the first a march. They said would send some one out to look at it. No one showed up. So we called again. Finally they called back and said that a lot of people this spring think that their pools are leaking but they are not, we just got so much snow that the weight of the snow had push the water out into the cover area. I should just fill the pool up again and mark it and that they would have someone come by and look at it on Friday (this is Monday).
Well by now Pete is starting to believe them and think that I am just crazy and that there is no way that the pool leaks. I am now very mad because this is like the 3 time I have filled and marked the pool. I know that it is leaking. Friday comes no one show up and the pool had gone down about 6 inches. Saturday I call, of course it is Saturday, so all I get is a answering machine. I leave message and basically tell them the pool has a leak, get someone out and get it fixed. Ta Duh, Monday, they come, check it out and guess what, it is cracked about 6' along the tile. Ya whoo, finally, the only bad things is we have to drain the pool.
This you think would be easy but it is pretty hard to find some where to put 25,000 gallons of water, I am glad we don't have any neighbors. Basically every lot around us is now a puddle of mud and my grass won't need to be watered for the rest of the summer. I had to keep moving the hose around so I wouldn't flood an area to bad. The mud was sort of like quick sand. It would suck you in. I probably should of wore different shoe, but until then I had done a good job avoiding the mud. It took about 2 days to suck the water all out (I had to keep stopping to let the water settle in). They came by yesterday and hopefully got everything fixed. I started refilling the pool yesterday at 4:00. Hopefully by tonight it we be full and they can come start it up. Just in time for the weather to get crappy again.
Oh well, at least next time the weather warms up will be able to swim. I am sure that Kyler won't wait for the weather, He will be in it as soon as the water temperature is 85. It won't matter if it is 50 degrees and rain outside.

Easter

Easter, Pete and I hide Easter eggs for Kayla and Kyler. You would have thought they were 8 years old. Pushing and running looking for eggs. Kayla would tell Kyler "you missed one. Sucker" In the end Kyler won he found around 33 eggs and Kayla only found 26. Later that day my parents came by and Jennie, Brooks and the kids also. Jennie kids look adorable in there Easter outfits. We had a barbecue and hide eggs for Gabbie (Cale is still to little). Gabbie was so cute some of the eggs had money in them, if she found one where she could hear the money she would shake it, say moneeeeey, and do this little dance (so cute). It was a very nice day. I am so glad that we got to send it with family.

4 Days with Auntie

This last week I kept my three cute little Nieces for 4 days, while their mom was in Florida. This was a definite change, first three little kids (2, 3 and 5) next they were GIRLS. I have never done little girls. I got to comb their hair, Great fun with only one incident with Parker, she was not to happy one day when I put her hair into 5 cute little pony tails in the front and left the back long. No problem while I was doing it and I am pretty sure their mother is way faster than Auntie. Everything was fine until she touched it and started screaming I have Crazy hair, I only wanted one pony in the back, I hate crazy hair. She then told me that she was going to pull it out and at this time we need to leave in about 15 minutes. I told her Parker you look cute DO NOT TOUCH YOUR HAIR. So instead she rolled around with her Blanket over her head screaming I hate Crazy Hair. Needless to say by the time we left it was sort of falling out but oh well. She still looked cute. We had so much fun we started too-too's, we made cup cakes, we colored, we played outside, we went the park, we rode scooter. They pretty much wore me out and got a cold the day after they went home. I think we wore out Parker to because she took a nap everyday and Tracie said that they didn't nap. But there was I nightmare about bugs tasting her.It was fun to have someone to take care of and play with. I admire my sister because I loved it for 4 days but it is a lot of work and I had Pete, Kyler and Kayla to help some of the time and she basically does it all alone. They are great little girls and they can stay with Auntie anytime.

Kyler's Sweet Heart Dance

Valentines Day was Lehi High Schools sweet heart dance. This is a girls choice dance and let see who would ask Kyler, oh yeah, of course, Kayla. The Sweet Heart dance was a Masquerade dance. Girls are so different from boys. Boys don't have much enthusiasm for things like dances. Now girls on the other hand get so excited. It is so fun to hear Kayla and her friends tell me about what they are planning. When I ask Kyler about his plans for a dance it like, I don't know I guess we could do this. Kayla, on the other hand, I don't even have to ask, she comes over and is like all guess what, guess what , we are going to do this and this and she is all excited and animated. Anyway, Kyler and Kayla went with McKenna and Brain, and Shelby and Dalton to the dance. For their day date, it was more a late afternoon date they went to the UPS store after it closed and bubble wrap sumo wrestled in the peanuts.
I'm not so sure who came up with the idea, but it looks like they had alot of fun. They ate pizza and for desert they had chocolate fodue and dipped a bunch of different thing cinnamon bears, brownies, strawberries etc. They didn't want to worry about mask for the masquerade so they painted their faces.

I think they all had a good time until after the dance when they had to go back to the UPS store and clean up. Kyler said even the clean up wasn't too bad because they have a cool ghost buster back pack vacuum that picks up the peanuts. I am so glad that Kyler has had the opportunity to go to all the dance. They will be something he remembers forever.

Pets

I never thought that I would be a dog person. I used to think my friends were crazy the way they were with their animals. They treated their pets like they were part of the family, like another child. Well that has all changed. Within a week of getting Pixie I knew that she was part of the family. I loved her and didn't even get too mad when she peed on the floor. She was so cute, little, and cuddly. You just couldn't stay mad. I got Pixie for Christmas from Pete. Then five month later Kiefer and I decided that she needed a friend so we got Oscar. Now let me tell you Oscar is a bad puppy. If you saw the movie Marley and Me or read the book, Oscar is Marley just in a smaller form. He eats every thing; shoes, socks even the walls of our new house, but there is no way that we could ever get rid of him. We all love him so much. This morning Oscar went to jump up on my bed and caught his toe nail on the bench and ripped it nearly off. He was bleeding badly and you could tell he was in a lot of pain. I just felt so bad that I couldn't help him. I called the vet and took him in and he had to have surgery on his poor foot. The money was not an object, I just wanted my poor baby to feel better. He had to have his nail completely removed and cauterized the blood vessel so he would stop bleeding. The surgery went well and they called me to go pick him up even sooner than they had expected. He is doing okay, but he is not himself. He is just laying around. I think that by tomorrow he will be feeling a whole lot better. Wow, and Pixie, the most jealous dog in the world, is being excellent. She is being so nice to Oscar and isn't even freaking out when we hold him.

Well... I have defiantly joined that weird group of people who talk about their pets like they are people and treat them like one of the family, and I wouldn't have it an other way.

I HATE February!!!!!

I hate February. I know it is the shortest month, but for me it seems to be the longest. I think this is because I am so looking forward to spring and March is the beginning of spring. By the time February gets here I am so sick of the cold, the haze, and the snow. I want sun and hot and green. I am tired of being surround by white and brown every time I go outside. Not that I can stay outside for long because it is too freaking cold!!!!!!! I really need a vacation to a beach and 80-90 degree weather. Sunny and sandy that is what I want. I love short and flip flops. I love swimming and at this point I even miss sweating and sun burns. Next year I am for sure going on a tropical vacation in February to break up the month and to ease my sun withdrawals. I am open for suggestion on some nice, hot, relaxing beaches.
